Our environment is not static and is not unchangeable. Advertisers and developers and councils take public space and manipulate it for their own means and it is taken as acceptable part of the city landscape, but painting is seen as somehow different because it is not within this artificial sphere of general public acceptability and legality, most of which is based on fear and manipulation. Roads and walls and fences and billboards, when you get past the things youre meant to respect and follow, sometimes there isnt a lot else there. Paint is paint and i think its adds to the world in a lot of ways. I agree that there should be respect for the properties of individuals (delis/shop fronts/cars), and youve got to try and offer somethign to the world when you paint, butother than taht, everything else is fair game. <br /><br />Also, RIP Today Tonight zombie lady from outside the old entertainment centre. You were a homogonised slut, but the painted blood in your mouth made me love you.
